If you wonder what I do when not blogging, I am snuggling with Krystal. NOT! She doesn't really like to snuggle much except around 4:00 a.m. Now that fall is setting in, I do have a nice fire going and it does feel like I'm at the cabin!

Praying the Names of Jesus Quilt

I have been studying Ann Spangler's book, "Praying the Names of Jesus" with a group of ladies that I met during the Women of the Bible Study as well as some of our friends. The study has been such a blessing. We are making blocks to go along with each name. The quilt was designed by one of the ladies in the study. It will be on point, which is a new challenge for me. I originally wanted to make it blue and white, but it is hard to keep away from yellow and red, so it has a tint of both of those. Here are the first 20 blocks that I have made.

Signature Quilt

My friend "Keri" collected little notes from the gals at the birthday bash and made this wall hanging for me for my birthday. I love the 30's fabrics so this is extra special. It's now hanging on the wall behind my sewing machine so that I can think of my friends while I am stitching. Thanks Keri!

This is probably my favorite quilt right now. I participated in Carol Honderichs, "Women of the Bible" study. This study was such and encouragement to me and I met some very special ladies "on-line". Not only did I learn about many different women in the bible, but I also learned some new quilting techniques! Doubly blessed! We had moved to a new state and this bible study kept me connected to my dear friend "back home" and also helped me to not feel so lonely in my new town.

How big IS this shower?

Here we are trying out the shower at the 50th Birthday Bash! As you can see, we could have fit about 10 more ladies in here! Good times!

Half-Way to 100!

I just celebrated my Half-Way to 100 Birthday. Actually, I think I have been celebrating all year! I had a wonderful weekend away with some friends in June where several of us celebrated this milestone in our lives! God has been good to me and has blessed me with good health, good friends and WONDERFUL husband and kids! Here's to the next 50 years!
