If you wonder what I do when not blogging, I am snuggling with Krystal. NOT! She doesn't really like to snuggle much except around 4:00 a.m. Now that fall is setting in, I do have a nice fire going and it does feel like I'm at the cabin!
I have been studying Ann Spangler's book, "Praying the Names of Jesus" with a group of ladies that I met during the Women of the Bible Study as well as some of our friends. The study has been such a blessing. We are making blocks to go along with each name. The quilt was designed by one of the ladies in the study. It will be on point, which is a new challenge for me. I originally wanted to make it blue and white, but it is hard to keep away from yellow and red, so it has a tint of both of those. Here are the first 20 blocks that I have made.
My friend "Keri" collected little notes from the gals at the birthday bash and made this wall hanging for me for my birthday. I love the 30's fabrics so this is extra special. It's now hanging on the wall behind my sewing machine so that I can think of my friends while I am stitching. Thanks Keri!
